Empat lelaki bersenjatakan parang memecah masuk rumah Pengerusi Felda, Tan Sri Isa Samad di Nilai Springs dekat sini dan melarikan barangan peribadi bernilai ribuan ringgit pada awal pagi Jumaat.

Dua anak perempuan Isa, seorang menantu lelaki, cucu dan anak buah perempuannya berada di rumah ketika kejadian berlaku.

Robbers break into home of Felda chairman Isa Samad.

Four parang-wielding robbers broke into the bungalow of Felda chairman Tan Sri Isa Abdul Samad in Nilai Springs, in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, and escaped with cash and valuables worth RM90,000.

The suspects, believed to be Indonesians, had broken through the tight security of the gated community where Isa's bungalow is located and over-powered two Felda auxiliary policemen who were stationed at the guardhouse.

The robbers then tied up Isa's two daughters, son-in-law, niece and a maid.

Isa's young grandchild was also in the bungalow but he was not harmed.

They then ransacked the house and escaped with two safes containing jewellery belonging to Isa's late wife Puan Sri Hazizah Tumin who had passed away in 2005.

They also took cash and mobile phones. Initial investigations revealed that the robbers forced open the back gate before over-powering the guards.

They then scaled a 20-foot wall and got into the bungalow by climbing through a window which led into the TV room of the six-room bungalow.

Police later detained the two auxiliary policemen to facilitate investigations.

Isa has now joined the list of prominent figures whose homes were broken into lately.

On June 29, thieves broke into the bungalow of Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin in Bukit Damansara where they escaped with cash and valuables totalling RM24,000.

In May, the house of the sister of Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in Petaling Jaya was broken into. Losses were estimated at RM300,000.

A few days later, a younger sister of Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and her family were robbed at their home in Mantin, Negri Sembilan.
