Belum pun terjawab siapa sebenarnya yang membayar sewa rumah seperti yang didedahkan Ketua Pembangkang, Anwar Ibrahim semasa Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Muhyiddin menjawat jawatan di peringkat pusat sejak 1995, satu lagi pekungnya semasa menjadi menteri besar Johor terbongkar!
Terbaru, penceramah Pakatan Rakyat, Tamrin Ghafar menjadikan Muhyiddin sebagai sasaran dalam satu ceramah di kawasan parlimen yang diwakili menteri tersebut.
Bercakap kepada kira-kira 300 hadirin dalam majlis minum petang di Sungai Terap, Bukit Pasir, anak kepada timbalan perdana menteri, Ghafar Baba itu mengimbau kembali dakwaan yang timbul ketika Muhyiddin menjadi Menteri Besar Johor antara 1986 hingga 1995.
"Adakah awak ingat sewaktu beliau menjadi menteri besar dalam isu ladang Stamford Holdings, kerajaan negeri terpaksa pergi ke mahkamah dan akhirnya diselesaikan di luar mahkamah?
"Siapa yang untung? Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary. Siapa yang buat dia kaya? Muhyiddin," katanya dalam majlis anjuran PAS Johor di DUN Jorak, dalam parlimen Pagoh semalam.
Tamrin merujuk kepada kes saman ke atas Muhyiddin, ahli perniagaan Yahya Taib dan Syed Mokhtar yang didakwa berkonspirasi untuk memiliki 6,600 ekar tanah yang dimiliki oleh Stamford Holdings.
Syarikat itu mendakwa telah diugut bahawa, sekiranya ia tidak menyertai usahasama untuk membangunkan tanah tersebut dengan menyerahkan 70 peratus ekuitinya, tanah syarikat itu akan diambil alih oleh kerajaan negeri.
Muhyiddin menafikannya dakwaan tersebut, yang disifatkan sebagai cubaan untuk menjejaskan kredibiliti dan merosakkan imejnya.
Kes tersebut berakhir dengan penyelesaian luar mahkamah di mana kerajaan negeri dan syarikat berkaitan diperintah membayar RM405 juta berbentuk pampasan untuk pengambilan tanah berkenaan.
Tamrin masih ahli Umno tetapi kebelakangan ini mengkritik hebat kepimpinan Umno yang disifatkannya sebagai menggadai amanah rakyat dengan siri pendedahan pemberian kad pengenalan kepada warga asing tanpa izin untuk mengundi dalam pilihanraya umum akan datang.

NEITHER the Johor Government nor the Perbadanan Kemajuan Ekonomi Islam Johor (PKEINJ) has paid any sum to Stamford Holdings Sdn Bhd in respect of the land acquisition belonging to the company, Johor Government legal adviser Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim and PKEINJ counsel Mr Roger Tan said yesterday.
They were clarifying a news report on the settlement reached between the State Government and Stamford Holdings Sdn Bhd on Wednesday.
It was reported that the High Court had ordered the Johor Government and four others - Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (the Menteri Besar then), businessmen Syed Mokhtar Albukhary and Datuk Yahya Taib, and PKEINJ - to pay Stamford Holdings Sdn Bhd RM405 million as compensation for the acquisition of a 2,064-ha piece of land belonging to the company.
Stamford Holdings, a plantations company, through its director, Gan Tee Kian, filed the suit in the High Court on February 4, 1995, claiming that Muhyiddin, Syed Mokhtar and Yahya contravened the provision of the Land Acquisition Act in acquiring the piece of land through PKEINJ.
Abdul Aziz and Tan, in separate statements released in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, said the Johor Baru Land Administrator made an award sum of RM239.099 million over the said lands. "This amount was deposited with the High Court on December 28, 1995 and the interest accrued amounting to RM10.585 million was similarly deposited on March 15, 1996.
"Subsequently, when Stamford Holdings Sdn Bhd challenged the Land Administrator's award, the said award sum was revised by the High Court by RM63.565, thereby the total acquisition costs amounted to RM313.351 million and the said differential sum of RM63.565 million was likewise deposited on November 12, 1996.
"This total sum of RM313.251 million was fully paid by Kelana Ventures Sdn Bhd.
"The additional payment of RM92.115 million represents the additional amount mutually agreed between Stamford Holdings Sdn Bhd and Kelana Ventures as the fair value of the said lands under the Land Acquisition Act 1960," they said.
Muhyiddin called up Stamford again, and told them, “Look, I have this piece of paper in front of me on my desk. All I have to do is sign it and Stamford Holdings will no longer own the 4,000 acres of land. Now, do you agree or not to develop the land and I take 70%?” Stamford again refused.
The following week, they received a letter from the Johor State Government signed by Muhyiddin stating that the government has taken over the land.
